Aleister Crowley is one of the famous SATANISTS or occultist in the world.

"Why is it that everyone associates Aleister Crowley with Satanism? Has not one author who mentions him ever read any of his works??? I can tell you that they have not... So where do they get the idea that Crowley is a satanist? It's not from his books because he doesn't speak of a "Satan" or "devil" except the one found inherent inside of every man and woman. Oh so maybe it's because he associated the number 666 with himself. And who pray tell made that number along with the number 13 a cursed number? The Vatican, that's right! Why would they do that? Hmm? Crowley identified the number 666 with the beast within him. He identified it so he could control it and get rid of it. Know thyself. That is key to his teachings. Do you know the literal translation of "Satan"? It's a Hebrew word, it means, Adversary. Not devil with pitchfork. To me this article is smothered with Christian overtones, which is fine but if you know Aleister Crowley, he hated Christianity. He thought it was a slave religion from the previous age. The age of Osirus, the age we are leaving. He wrote about the new age, the age of Horus, which we are entering/in.
I suggest, even better, I challenge you to pick up a copy of "The Law Is For All" By Aleister Crowley, read it 3 times then write an article about the book. I will tell you this, there is zero mention of "Satan" in the book. But don't take my word for it, read it yourself. " Reader Mark Martino

And of course the most famous SATANIST is THE BLACK POPE Anton LaVey he was the founder of the church of SATAN and author of the SATANIC BIBLE.
Church of SatanLaVey began presenting Friday night lectures on the occult and rituals. A member of this circle suggested that he had the basis for a new religion. OnWalpurgisnacht, April 30, 1966, he ritualistically shaved his head, allegedly "in the tradition of ancient executioners", declared the founding of the Church of Satan and proclaimed 1966 as "the year One", Anno Satanas—the first year of the Age of Satan. Media attention followed the subsequent Satanic wedding ceremony of radical journalist John Raymond to New York socialite Judith Case on February 1, 1967. The Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chroniclewere among the newspapers that printed articles dubbing him "The Black Pope". LaVey performed Satanic baptisms (including one for Zeena) and Satanic funerals (including one for naval machinist-repairman third-class Edward Olsen, complete with a chrome-helmeted honor guard), and released a record album entitled The Satanic Mass. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, LaVey melded ideological influences from Friedrich Nietzsche, Ayn Rand, Aleister Crowley, H.L. Mencken, and Jack London with the ideology and ritual practices of the Church of Satan. He wrote essays introduced with reworked excerpts from Ragnar Redbeard’s Might is Right and concluded with “Satanized” versions of John Dee’s Enochian Keys to create books such as , The Compleat Witch (re-released in 1989 as The Satanic Witch), and The Satanic Rituals. The latter book also included rituals drawing on the work of H.P. Lovecraft which were actually penned by Michael A. Aquino who would later found the Temple of Set.
Due to increasing visibility through his books, LaVey was the subject of numerous articles in the news media throughout the world, including popular magazines such as Look, McCall's, Newsweek, andTIME, and men’s magazines. He also appeared on talk shows such as Joe Pyne, Phil Donahue, and Johnny Carson, and in a feature length documentary called Satanis: The Devil's Mass in 1970.
LaVey’s third and final companion was Blanche Barton. Barton and LaVey are the parents of Satan Xerxes Carnacki LaVey, born November 1, 1993. Barton succeeded him as the head of the Church after his death, and has since stepped down from that role and handed it to Magus Peter H. Gilmore.
Don't go by what other people say about satanist's we are not child killers, we are not paedophiles and we do not sacrifice animals, these are preconcieved notions that the masses have of us as people and a religion, as always if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
